A CHILD’S MIND IN A SCRATCH WORLD PART 1

In General young people from ages 5-17 are regarded as less creative when compared to the active working population with ages scaling from 25-45. Their opinions are less sought after whenever critical decisions are to be taken. For the fear that they would choose the unhealthy option. In contrast, I strongly disagree knowing the raw creative potential of a young child’s mind. For this reason I have decided to learn a programming application called Scratch. It stretches the mind to swim beyond the shallow waters of simple equations and unused arithmetic’s. Explicitly, it redefines logic with new found units for children to learn, build and grow. To emphasize this further, it uses the most basic geometric and trigonometric laws to create landscapes that bridges the gap between dreams and future realities. Forthwith Scratch is a programming application used to make drawings, pictures and animations come to life. It can be used to make games and so much more. Scratch is one of the best applications to have been created in our generation. Some of the games I created are: Bull attack, Basket all and Knights to the rescue, E.T.C Ultimately creativity is all that education should offer, yet only a few dare to raise such consciousness that questions reality. PALM OIL POWER

Its a known fact that Palm oil is a noted constituent in our African dishes such as native soups and porridges. In the past Nigerians had only regarded palm oil as a source of food. Gradually, Young scholars have discovered the vast potentials of Palm oil crude and its rudimentary origins of renewable energy. Beyond this, the kernel, the fruit and the shaft can be used to manufacture an enormous range of products such as Bio fuel, Butter and Dye. Subsequently, if this resource is left untapped. Our capacity for development will be stalled. In contrast Palm oil is valued fifteen times more than Crude oil. One barrel of Crude palm oil is about $608 while that of Crude oil is $45 dollars. In conclusion scholars in Nigeria should rise to the occasion by creating and innovating home grown technology to harness the unknowable potentials just underneath our feet. Take a step into the future and push thoughts into actions.
